What materials do you use for your art?
My favourite coloured pencils to use are Faber Castell Polychromos. I use these for their colour intensity but also for their excellent lightfastness, meaning the drawings are resistant to fading over time. (100 + years providing the drawing is displayed out of direct sunlight)
My current paper of choice is Fabriano Artistico 100% cotton water colour paper. An acid free paper guaranteeing long conservation. I use the “hot pressed” 300gsm (thickness) which has a slight surface texture.
With painting I use artist quality acrylic paint and usually use Matisse (made in Australia) and Liquitex brands.
With framed canvases, I purchased handmade from Australian companies.
I see you offer drawing commissions but do you offer painting commissions?
It’s something I might consider in the future but at the moment the answer is no, sorry.
Will you draw my dog/cat?
At the moment my focus is birds (and Australian flora). At the moment I am not offering drawing commissions for other animals (or people).
I love all animals but in terms of art I have been focusing my skills on representing the unique features of birds.
I don’t have pet bird but I would like a bird drawing, can you do that?
If there is a particular bird that is special to you for any reason, I can draw that too. I just need a good reference photo. If you don’t have a photo of your own please contact me at artbyleannewb@gmail.com, I might have something suitable. Reference photos must by copyright free.
What happens if my order arrives damaged?
I take great care when packing to minimise the risk of damage while in transit. In the unlikely event that your item(s) arrived damaged please contact me at artbyleannewb@gmail.com asap with photos of the packaging and damaged item(s) and we can resolve it (refund, repair or replacement). For items of $100 or more I take out insurance with Australia post when shipping.
How will be order be sent and where do you ship to?
I use Australia post and at the moment I am only shipping within Australia.
Unless the item states free shipping, the flat rate shipping price is $12
Items (except cards) are sent with a tracking number.
Do you accept returns?
I cannot accept returns on commission drawings. I work with you on the composition and layout to make sure you are happy with the plan before I begin. Don’t worry, I don’t start with the coloured pencil until I get the go ahead/approval from you!
I do not offer change of mind returns. It is however important to me that you are happy with your purchase so if there is an issue, please get in touch
