Here I have painted an Australian magpie on a solid wood slice of pine. This painting is of a female magpie that has been visiting my own garden for many years.
The wood is fitted with a hanger on the back so it’s ready to hang on your wall.
Approximately 20cm round (1.8cm thick)
About the wood: The wood is cut from young invasive pine species in Victoria to make way for Australian native trees. Before painting the magpie I have sealed the wood on all sides (including the edges) and then coasted the acrylic painting with varnish to protect it.
