This is a drawing not just for those who love budgies, but also for anyone who has ever felt like they don't fit in (for whatever reason). My idea behind creating this drawing was about owning your identity and having the confidence to just be yourself. I think we have probably all at one time or another felt like we don't fit in and I think that's ok. The world would be a boring place if we were all the same.
The difference here is represented by the green and yellow wild/native budgies vs the different blue budgie. The blue budgie is deliberately drawn in a very proud and strong pose. He owns his difference and doesn't apologise for it. He is also still part of the group. He celebrates his individuality and is accepted by the group.
