This is a Peregrine Falcon I met at a wildlife park in QLD. A beautiful and impressive bird, actually smaller in reality than they appear in photos. The fastest bird in the world (& actually the fastest animal on the planet!)
With it’s earthy colours matching the colours of the natural pine, it’s a beautiful combination.
Fitted with a hanger on the back, it’s ready to hang on your wall.
Approximately 20cm round (1.8cm thick).
About the wood: The wood is cut from young invasive pine species in Victoria to make way for Australian native trees. Before painting the falcon I have sealed the wood on all sides (including the edges) and then coated the acrylic painting with varnish to protect it.
