Here I have painted an Australian Sulphur crested cockatoo. I photographed this bird in my own garden to use as my reference photo. This is a female cockatoo (the females have slightly red coloured eyes which can be seen if you are close enough and the sunlight is bright enough). Famously very clever and cheeky birds, I think she looks beautiful against the natural wood colour (wood she would most likely love to chew!)
Approximately 22cm round and (1.8cm thick)
The wood has a hanger on the back so it’s ready to hang on your wall.
About the wood: The pine wood slice is cut from young invasive pine species in Victoria to make way from Australian native trees. I have painted all sides (including the edges) with a sealer before painting. The acrylic painting has then been coated with a varnish to protect it.
Price includes shipping within Australia.
