Male Black cockatoo
$165.00

Painted with acrylic on canvas (20cm square) this is a Male Black Cockatoo. Native to Australia.

Ready to hang. This painting is unframed but I have finished/painted the edges so framing is not necessary unless you choose to do so (your local framer can do that for you if you so wish). The stretched canvas measures approx 3.8cm deep with the surface approx 20cm square.

In the sunshine, the black cockatoo’s feathers have different colours visible which is what I have exaggerated here to create a striking and very pretty painting to brighten a small area in your home.

Such beautiful, brightly coloured little birds I think it looks stunning against the natural wood.

About the wood: The wood slices are cut from young invasive pine species in Victoria. The introduced trees are removed to make way for Australian native trees. Before painting I have sealed all sides (including edges) and then coated with varnish

Peregrine Falcon

Acrylic on Pine.

This is a Peregrine Falcon I met at a wildlife park in QLD. A beautiful and impressive bird, actually smaller in reality than they appear in photos. The fastest bird in the world (& actually the fastest animal on the planet!)

With it’s earthy colours matching the colours of the natural pine, it’s a beautiful combination.

Fitted with a hanger on the back, it’s ready to hang on your wall.

Approximately 20cm round (1.8cm thick).

About the wood: The wood is cut from young invasive pine species in Victoria to make way for Australian native trees. Before painting the falcon I have sealed the wood on all sides (including the edges) and then coated the acrylic painting with varnish to protect it.

Price includes postage within Australia.
